Medical Surgical / Telemetry 4 / 5 Lied - 4 / 5 Lied is a 20-bed general medical surgical and telemetry unit as well as ortho patients.
Some of the patients you may care for on these units include Total Knee and Hip replacements, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses.
Ratios are 1 : 5 days / 1 : 6 nights. Depending on staffing, night ratios can be 1 : 7 (this is rare, but facility wants travelers to be aware).
Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN
2 years of prior Telemetry experience pref (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital)
Drips are required on all floors
First timers NOT accepted (will consider if the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level l Academic Medical Center)
EPIC charting experience required
Will float within scope to meet facility needs (this includes potentially floating to Bellevue campus)
100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
Locals Accepted : NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
Pending license accepted : Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.
RTO restrictions : Up to two weeks of RTO permitted. RTO must be submitted with application. Additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion.
Weekend Requirement : Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday / Sunday for day shift, Friday / Saturday for night shift).
Scrubs : MANDATORY - RNs wear Steele gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back. Information on how to obtain Nebraska Medicine branded scrubs will be shared once traveler is confirmed. Facility also sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store.
Parking : Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost depends on the lot, but is approx. $55 / month) or they can use daily rate parking ($3 to park for 20 hrs).

Drug Screen within 60 days of start and update annually. Instants are not acceptable.
Flu vaccine preferred, not mandatory. Please collect vaccine documentation or declination.
A baseline eye exam (Snellen) is required for any traveler working in the OR ONLY. This includes OR RN's as well as Surgical Techs. This will need to be completed within 30 days of start. May be completed at either an eye doctor at a physical.
COVID Vaccines preferred. Will also accept Med / Religious Exemption or Declination. Aya forms are acceptable.
