Essential Job Duties:
- Provide Coverage on a PRN basis to local high schools
- Ability to work flexible hours, including morning/afternoon/evening hours of the day and weekends.
- Complete (clinical) policy training, including Blood Borne Pathogens Exposure and Control Plan training, and comply with the regulations therein.
- Maintain adequate medical records on all injuries to provide to the full-time school ATC and or AD.
- Comply with any and all policies regarding health care delivery as indicated by the school systems regulations.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in the athletic training setting.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or one to two years of related experience and/or training.
- Applied Knowledge: Athletic trainers must be knowledgeable about a wide range of medical problems. They will also need assessment and evaluation skills and the ability to work with other healthcare professionals.
- Provide injury prevention strategies, including taping, bracing, and conditioning programs.
- Decision-Making Skills: Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid and CPR when necessary.
- Attention to Detail: should be thorough and detailed with injury tracking and documentation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in high stress/pressure situation when talking to patients, medical professionals, coaching staff and families.
- Must have the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
Travel Requirements:
Will be asked to travel to a number of facilities within Lincoln and surrounding communities.

Certifications:
- BOC Certified Athletic Trainer
- Nebraska State Licensure or eligible
- CPR and AED for Professional Rescuer Certification or higher
Physical Requirements:
- Work is medium demand. Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects.
- Medium strength is required to position patients for examination.
- May assist patients as needed, helping them on and off the exam table and/or bed.
- Must be able to work in outdoor conditions.
