Business Process Analyst
Nature of Work
Responsible for modelling, creating, implementing, enhancing, and / or documenting maintainable analytical solutions into business processes to effect change within a function, program, and / or department. Are subject matter experts for systems, providing guidance and support to others as needed. Works closely with the technology department communicating IT and data integration needs, as well as application maintenance and support.
Examples of Work Performed
Support overall operations and management of the functional office.
1. Maintain confidentiality / accuracy / preservation of office records.
2. Maintain / update / correct office records data in appropriate software systems.
3. Serve as office representative on appropriate committees / project teams.
4. Maintain working knowledge of business processes within the functional office.
5. Communicate / meet with other offices / staff regularly.
6. Problem-solve.
7. Assist with daily office workflow as needed and appropriate.
8. Advise IT security on functional office needs for system permissions and roles.
9. Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Registrar.
Maintain software functionality and create new solutions that have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department and / or the department's ability to support institutional needs.
1. Responsible for developing and maintaining degree audits within the SIS.
2. Will exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
3. Develop automated processes for registration, records, graduation, etc.
4. Complete functional system and process testing of PeopleSoft modules and PeopleTools prior to upgrades, for integrations of new products, and before enabling customizations for the office.
5. Create and maintain eForms, determine and convert additional business processes that can be enhanced by software solutions.
6. Perform graduation candidate verifications and communications.
7. Provide assistance with graduation, as needed.
8. Maintain changes to college catalog and course entry as needed.
9. Collaborate with NATS and College Relations in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of the catalog within a new website content management system.
10. Manage submission and review of student record reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse.
11. Work with NeSIS on any updates or initiatives that impact WSC student records.
12. Work with NATS and Functional leads on data and systems integration projects.
13. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree or work related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior student records experience
- Work experience in higher education
- Knowledge of legal requirements and security needs of student records including FERPA
- Experience and knowledge working with PeopleSoft or other student information software
- Excellent computer and data entry skills as well as the ability to successfully communicate (verbally and in writing) with the public and internal as well as external constituents
- Detail oriented in review and data entry

Salary Information
Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Attractive and comprehensive benefit package. Annual salary range is $54,210-$62,000.
