IT Specialist
Nature of Work
First-line helpdesk support, entry-level technical and analytical duties focused on supporting the Peru State College stakeholders. This includes communicating via phone, email, chat or other methods to provide initial problem analysis or solution, direction of the customer to the proper technician or online resource, monitoring and classifying requests. Create, modify, and continually improve documentation and knowledge-based articles. Create, maintain, and modify technology assets in the inventory software. This position is exempt with regard to FLSA overtime provisions. This position is covered by the NSCPA negotiated agreement.

Required Qualifications
An associate's degree with computer or network systems emphasis or equivalent experience. Attention to detail, analytical skills, organizational and problem-solving ability is required. Working knowledge of PC and MAC workstation hardware and peripherals; including attached and networked devices such as printers, scanners, and copiers. Working knowledge of PC and MAC operating systems (Microsoft Windows and OS X), and mobile computing operating systems (IOS, ANDROID). Ability to effectively use and support Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Management Information Systems, two years of experience providing customer and technology support in a helpdesk setting, and familiarity with an IT helpdesk ticketing system. ITIL4 or CompTIA certifications a plus.
