What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Picker/Reach Truck Operator position at NEBRASKA WAREHOUSE?
An order picker/reach truck driver's main responsibility is to pick and pull product to fill each order. Most orders are shipping the same day or the next day. Orders varies between Truck Load and LTL to UPS/FEDEX shipments. We pick/pull primarily food grade product and non-food grade product. NO HAZMAT or chemicals.
1. Operate a sit-down Reach truck.
2. Pull orders that are assigned to you by the S/R office.
3. Orders will very between pulling full pallets to building pallets from the ground up.
4. Orders will be scanned with RF scan guns.
5. Will pull orders in its entirety and stage the order on the front dock so it is prepped for loading either via Truck load, LTL, or UPS/FEDEX.
6. Assisting customers (both internal and external) with problems as they arise.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Reports to Warehouse Foreman. Supervises no one.
- High School diploma/GED
- Must have math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
- Work performed in a combination of office and warehouse environments.
- Exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes.
- 90 Days temp to hire
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
