Responsibilities and opportunities:
This position is open to those with a Ph.D. or master's degree in Biological Sciences or a closely related field. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to inspire and mentor undergraduate students pursuing careers in the health sciences, biology, and related fields. Experience teaching both lecture and lab courses related to Anatomy, Physiology and Cadaver Dissection is essential. Cadaver dissection courses will be offered to both undergraduate as well as masters of athletic training students. The successful applicant will participate in duties related to the coordination of part-time instructors in the anatomy and physiology courses, as well as have the ability to instruct both lecture and laboratory for a variety of lower- and upper-level biology courses (see the NWU Course Catalog for details). Preferred applicants will display a commitment to undergraduate experiences through innovative teaching practices, visions for global experiences, and the facilitation of undergraduate research.
