JOB SUMMARY: As a Welder/Fabricator Technician at NEC Group, LLC, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to specifications and blueprints. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of welding techniques.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on various metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine welding requirements.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
- Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards.
- Operate welding and fabricating equipment such as bandsaws, press breaks, punches, drills, rollers, oxi-acetylene torches, plasma torches, and various welding machines safely and efficiently.
- Inspect and test welded joints for durability.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- The candidate will weld to the AWS D1.1 Structural standard. Onsite training is provided for welders that show promise regardless of whether they currently hold certifications or not. Although this is primarily a shop position, there will be occasions in which fieldwork becomes necessary.
- The candidate will be required to undergo COMM training (Tower Safety Training) as we do operate within the telecom industry, NFPA training, OSHA training, and will be sent for a DOT physical.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification in welding preferred.
- Minimum 6 months of welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding techniques.
SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures

- Work Environments:
Work will be completed both indoors and outdoors throughout the year, in all types of climates.
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift/carry 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and/or work on elevated structures up to 40 feet (if necessary)
