POSITION OVERVIEW
This Warehouse Supervisor position will be located in our Bloomfield, CT location. This position will ensure inventory is accounted for in a safe and efficient manner. This will include establishing and maintaining workflow processes as necessary to meet delivery/pick-up goals as well as performance standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the implementation of our Bloomfield CT warehouse operations, including logistics, scheduling systems, delivery, transportation, loading dock activity, security, warehouse temperature control, pest control, emergency action plans, and closing procedures.
Directs the activities involved in the efficient movement of product including accurate receipt, storage, distribution, maximizing space, resources, and avoiding waste or damages.
Establishes effective procedures and controls for the safe and efficient movement and preservation of product; monitors adherence to established procedures to ensure safety and sanitation measures are followed
Ensures an accurate inventory of products at all times through a maintained inventory control system.
Directly accountable for the successful implementation, assessment, and transition of all new operational initiatives.
Develops, documents, and executes standard operating procedures for Bloomfield and its delivery operations
Serves as primary liaison with auditors for assigned branches
FACILITIES / EQUIPMENT
Ensures equipment and facilities are operational while identifying opportunities for improvement to reduce waste and manage repair needs.
Oversees preventative maintenance for warehouse vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
Suggests replacement schedule for facility systems, equipment, and warehouse vehicles.
Develops and manages the safety of all NEC Group locations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, visitors and guests.
Assist and train employees
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Five Plus (5 ) years of warehouse experience
Two plus (2 ) years of warehouse management
Experience with Scanning customer assets
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
Valid Driver’s License required
Ability to operate a Forklift
MS Office Skills, specifically Excel
Must be able to work for any US employer without current or future visa sponsorship
Knowledge of Wireless Telecommunication materials is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and work at heights.
