Nursing Department Manager - PICU – Los Angeles, CAPosition Overview : We are seeking an experienced Nursing Department Manager to lead the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a CCS-designated, Magnet-recognized hospital. This role is integral in ensuring safe, high-quality patient care within an 8-bed PICU, with additional oversight of the Pediatric Unit as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected healthcare organization known for its commitment to patient-centered care and professional development.Key Responsibilities : Provide 24 / 7 management of nursing services in the PICU, ensuring patient safety and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Establish and maintain high standards of care, aligning with organizational goals and nursing practice standards.Collaborate with Nursing Leadership to implement strategic plans and performance improvement initiatives.Develop and manage departmental budgets, staffing, and training to optimize resources.Lead and mentor a team of nurses, fostering an environment of professional growth and accountability.Oversee the implementation of patient care policies, procedures, and quality improvement activities.Promote a culture of safety, adhering to regulatory requirements and best practices.Education, Licenses / Certifications : California RN License.American Heart Association BLS, NRP, PALS, CCRN (Peds).BSN or MSN (required).Minimum 5 years of full-time equivalent PICU experience, including at least 3 years in a community hospital Level II PICU (current or recent).Minimum 3 years of full-time equivalent PICU Manager or Supervisor experience (current or recent).Management experience in a union environment preferredCompensation and Benefits : Salary : $155,600–$201,300 annually.Potential for up to a 15% annual performance-based bonus.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.#J-18808-Ljbffr
