MRI Tech

Overview

Under the supervision of the CT/MRI Supervisor, the MRI Technologist conducts and assists personnel in the performance of CT/MRI examinations. Is able to provide patient care activities to include adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. Responsible for the proper utilization of Radiology Information System as described in the RIS policy and procedure.

Principal Responsibilities will include:

Utilizes power injector.
Administration of contrast materials.
Begins and maintains IVs.
Patient confidentiality.
Anticipates patient needs and establishes rapport with patient and family.
Proficiency in operating equipment.
Develop films.
Schedules exams.
Performs record keeping duties in all accurate and timely fashion.
Performs clerical duties.
Transports patients to and from Radiology Department.
Performs quality assurance.Participates and implements age specific care and interaction.
Prepares and positions patients for scan according to the Radiology Department procedures.Sets up equipment as necessary for the specific examination and performs exams.

• 6 months of MRI Experience - Required
• ARRT (MRI) Certification - Required
