As a Bartender at our family entertainment center, you will be responsible for creating and
serving a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, to guests visiting
our establishment. Your exceptional mixology skills, customer service expertise, and friendly
demeanor will contribute to a positive and enjoyable experience for our patrons. This job
description outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications required for the position.
Responsibilities:
1. Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a diverse range of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines,
and soft drinks.
- Create signature drinks and tailor orders to guests' preferences.
2. Menu Knowledge:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the beverage menu, ingredients, and offerings.
- Make recommendations to guests based on their preferences.
3. Customer Service:
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming and
enjoyable atmosphere.
- Take orders, provide information, and address guest inquiries.
4. Order Accuracy:
- Ensure accuracy in taking and entering orders, including special requests and modifications.
- Double-check orders before serving to guests.
5. Mixing and Presentation:
- Skillfully mix and craft beverages using proper techniques and garnishes.
- Pay attention to presentation and ensure that drinks are visually appealing.
6. Cash Handling:
- Process payments accurately and efficiently, including handling cash and credit card
transactions.
- Maintain an organized cash drawer and accurately account for sales.
7. Cleanliness and Sanitation:
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including equipment, utensils, and glassware.
- Follow sanitation and hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
8. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages, ingredients, and supplies.
- Assist in restocking inventory and placing orders as needed.
9. Upselling and Promotion:
- Promote special drink offerings, happy hour deals, and promotions to enhance the guest
experience.
- Encourage guests to explore other attractions and amenities.
10. Responsible Service:
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines, including verifying guest age and
preventing overconsumption.
- Monitor guest behavior and intervene if necessary to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant, bar, or entertainment setting.
- Knowledge of mixology and a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails and mocktails.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with guests.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accurately processing payments and handling cash.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
- Familiarity with responsible alcohol service practices and regulations.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by
the operational needs of the family entertainment center.
