As a Dishwasher at our family entertainment center, you will play a critical role in maintaining a
clean and sanitary kitchen environment by efficiently washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils,
and kitchen equipment. Your attention to detail and dedication to cleanliness will contribute to
the overall success of our dining operations. This job description outlines the primary
responsibilities and qualifications required for the position.
Responsibilities:
1. Dishwashing and Sanitization:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen
tools.
- Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization to meet health and safety standards.
2. Kitchen Support:
- Assist kitchen staff by maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils for food
preparation.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
3. Equipment Maintenance:
- Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
4. Organization and Cleanliness:
- Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free from clutter.
- Sweep and mop floors to maintain a hygienic workspace.
5. Recycling and Waste Management:
- Separate and handle recyclable materials, following recycling guidelines.
- Properly dispose of waste and maintain designated waste disposal areas.
6. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent cross-contamination.
- Follow proper sanitation practices and use appropriate cleaning agents.
7. Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to manage dish flow and coordinate tasks.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed during busy periods.
8. Flexibility:
- Be prepared to assist in other areas of the entertainment center as needed, based on
operational requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant, hospitality,
or food service environment.
- Basic understanding of sanitation and cleanliness practices in a kitchen setting.
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment effectively and safely.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by
the operational needs of the family entertainment center.
