Job Description:
As the Partnerships Director, you will be responsible for fostering and managing relationships with key partners, including professional sports teams, leagues, and venue partners, ensuring successful collaboration and maximizing value for all stakeholders. This role involves developing strategies that align Zappy’s goals with those of our partners, driving brand visibility, and executing joint marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of sports partnerships, event activations, and high-level collaboration within large-scale venues.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage and nurture partnerships with key partners including professional sports teams, leagues, and arenas.
- Develop and execute strategic partnership plans that maximize opportunities to increase brand visibility and drive user adoption.
- Collaborate with internal marketing and sales teams to create effective joint marketing campaigns and venue activations.
- Oversee the execution of contractual obligations, ensuring that all are met.
- Identify new partnership opportunities within the sports and entertainment industries.
- Drive engagement through collaborative events, promotions, and fan activations at major sporting venues.
- Track and report on the success of partnership efforts, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate events, promotions, and collaborative activations with partners to drive engagement.
- Ensure that all contractual obligations with partners are met, and develop long-term growth strategies for each partnership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or account management.
- Prior experience working with professional sports teams or leagues is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to travel for meetings and events, and manage multiple partnerships across different locations.
- A self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for collaboration and driving results.
Requirements:
- Must be based in Miami, FL, as this is a hybrid position requiring site visits to local venues.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S.
