Job Description
Needham Bank is seeking a dedicated and dynamic IT Business Systems Specialist - Retail and Deposits Delivery to join our team. The role will serve as the key technology SME driving delivery within Deposit product and Retail business lines, while ensuring overall stability of the underlying systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as technical liaison for all deposit product, retail branch, and specialized banking technology stakeholders and vendors.Manages the configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of core banking enhancements, including introduction of new products and 3rd party integrations.Coordinates system upgrades with all stakeholders (Business line, IT Ops, IT Engineering, QA, IT change management, Vendors) adhering to ITIL change practices and generates formal artifacts to mitigate risk (deployment and backout plans, risk assessment, test strategy, stakeholder communications and sign offs)Participates in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Development and Testing impacting the retail and specialized banking channelsWorks with PMO on bank projects to identify technology requirements, document and execute project tasks.Evaluates technical feasibility of solutions and design of new systems.Utilize business / functional requirements to develop test scripts and test system changes / functionalities in conjunction with the QA Analysts, as needed.Identifies process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency.Documents system process and procedures and ensures adherence to specifications.Documents systems architecture, data flow and system integrations.Works with IT Helpdesk and Engineering team to triage, troubleshoot and resolve user support requests and systems related issues as it pertains to the Retail and Deposits applications.Develops procedures and add to ITSM knowledge base to assist IT Helpdesk and increase self-service in resolving common errorsCommunicates process changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders as appropriate.Assist with vendor evaluation relative to deposit and branch operations software applications and hardware.Works with business line, IT Operations, and IT Security to establish product development and vendor strategy.Support developments of bank products ensuring project deliverables are met on time.Ability to articulate business proposals in a logical, well documented fashionTracks product enhancements / system issuesAssist with maintaining the system development workbook and following up with business lines and vendors to ensure that bugs / issues and enhancements are being addressedMeets regularly with vendors to drive product enhancementsMonitor vendor roadmap and system enhancements, creating proposals to implement new features which reduce cost and / or increase efficiencyExperience and Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field7 Years of experience in banking. Specific core banking experience related to Deposit products & services (checking, savings, CDs, overdrafts, Interest settlement, core banking APIs) and Retail branch technology (Teller, ATM platform) preferred.Experienced in ITIL, Project management, Quality Assurance and IT security concepts.WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
