What are the responsibilities and job description for the Students Acting to Make A Difference (SAMD) Director (SY25-26) position at Needham High School?
Position:
Students Acting to Make a Difference (SAMD) is a student run club that annually produces a fall musical. As the Director of the show, responsibilities will include: determining a rehearsal schedule in collaboration with the Faculty advisor, running rehearsals, coordinating the lighting, sound, and costumes, and working with the Director of Fine and Performing Arts to ensure that proper procedures are being followed for the purchase of materials. The Director of SAMD should have a student focused philosohpy and work to create an inclusive environment for all students involved in the production.
This year the SAMD Show is Chicago, Teen Version. The show will be held October 24-26, 2025. Auditions take place at the end of August with rehearsals beginning immediately thereafter. The ideal candidate will be availble during the Spring of 2025 to engag in production planning with the SAMD Board and faculty advisor.

Stipend:
This is a stipended position and will be paid via the NPS Stipend salary schedule. The stipend is $5919
