Job Title: Science Teacher

Overview: Experthiring is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is committed to creating a positive learning environment and can effectively teach science to students with diverse educational needs, including those in Regular Education and Special Education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and differentiated science lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of students in both regular and special education settings.
- Provide instruction in a variety of science subjects, including but not limited to, biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Create a supportive classroom environment that fosters student engagement, participation, and a love for learning.
- Utilize assessment tools and data to monitor student progress, guide instruction, and make necessary adjustments to teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure each student's educational needs are met.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Manage classroom behavior by implementing positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, attendance, and other required documentation.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Regular Education or Special Education.
- Previous experience teaching science at the middle or high school level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the principles and practices of special education and inclusive teaching.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
