Mobile Phlebotomist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection in various locations, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, and excellent patient care skills.

Duties

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for specimen collection in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure proper identification of patients and specimens to maintain accuracy in testing.
• Process specimens according to laboratory standards, including labeling and documentation.
• Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen collection.
• Educate patients on the procedure, addressing any concerns to ensure a positive experience.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and follow-up as necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in various environments such as hospitals or laboratories.
• Keep accurate records of all procedures performed and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, medical terminology, and anatomy is essential.
• Experience in specimen collection processing and phlebotomy techniques is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques and aseptic techniques is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient care and comfort.
• Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a mobile setting.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical environment is an advantage.
