Direct Care Support Specialist - $3,250 Sign-On Bonus!

The NEEDS Center is growing on the Cape!

Now offering a $3,250 sign-on bonus ($1,625 upon hire and $1,625 after 6 months of employment) to hired Full Time candidates.

Hourly rate is $20 an hour.

The NEEDS Center is a non-profit organization and right now we have 8 openings for Direct Care Specialists who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential home in Marston Mills, MA. These positions are primarily either second shift, overnights, and/or weekends.

These are entry-level jobs with great potential for career growth--and training is provided

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting and supporting individuals in daily routines.
• Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, and cleaning.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred (but not necessary)
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
• Good driving record.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team.

The NEEDS Center specializes in providing services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). There is a particular emphasis on providing services to individuals with interfering challenging behavior and/or dual diagnosis. The NEEDS Center’s philosophy is rooted in the tenets of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Positive Behavior Support (PSB). The services and supports provided by the NEEDS Center draw on the best of both disciplines in order to assist individuals to become as independent as they can be.
