The NEEDS Center has internship and co-op positions for Direct Care Specialists who will assist and support adults with developmental disabilities (Autism Spectrum Disorder) to live as independently as possible while enjoying all aspects of Community Living. Full-time and Part-time positions are available in our Day Centers in:
- Rowley, Mass
- Beverly, Mass
- Tewksbury, Mass
- Hyannis (Cape Cod), Mass
Full Time hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm
All locations and roles are FULLY SUPERVISED & TRAINING IS PROVIDED
Your Daily Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting residents with daily living activities such as meal prep, grooming, and toileting.
- Supporting residents in developing daily living skills, such as cooking, and cleaning.
- Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
- Facilitating recreational, educational, and social activities to engage residents and enhance their quality of life.
- Conducting regular safety checks and addressing any potential hazards to ensure the environment is safe and secure.
- Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
- Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes regular community membership.
- Help to implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with behavior management preferred, but not necessary
- Good driving record--and you must have a valid drivers license
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team.

The services and support provided by the NEEDS Center draw on the best of both disciplines in order to assist individuals to become as independent as they can be.
- Starting pay is $19.00/hr
