Field & Event Representative
Neeeco (the New England Energy Efficiency Company) is looking to grow our team of Field & Event Representatives with individuals who are interested in being paid to make a positive impact in our community as well as develop useful career skills.
In this role you’ll be helping your neighbors across Eastern Massachusetts reduce their carbon emissions, reduce their energy costs, and make their homes healthier and more comfortable. You will be on the front lines of the fight against climate change and save the environment by helping MA residents take advantage of the Mass Save program.
The ideal candidate will be hungry for success, energetic and engaging, excited to talk to people and get the word out, comfortable with rejection, adaptable, accountable and goal oriented.
Field & Event Canvasser responsibilities:
- Generate leads from residents interested in saving money on their energy bills while reducing their carbon footprint
- Attend community and commercial events to generate leads and inform the public about the energy efficiency programs, rebates and incentives available in Massachusetts
- Provide feedback about various activities to constantly improve the team’s time spent going door to door and at events
- Accurately enter details for leads and maintain minimum lead quota Attend virtual meetings when needed.
- Follow the dress code and wear a uniform shirt (provided to you)
- Build and maintain relationships with employees, assistant managers and managers of existing event locations to foster potential growth into multiple locations
- Canvass and "scout out" new businesses and nonprofits from time to time to maintain a robust network of tabling and events opportunities within your region
- All other requests assigned to you by the manager
Qualifications:
You will be a good fit for this role if you:
- Have stellar verbal communications skills and infectious enthusiasm.
- Share our vision for a more affordable, cleaner, greener and energy efficient world.
- Have a driver's license (this is required) and daily access to a car.
- Previous background in sales, canvassing, tabling, or outreach marketing is always a plus, but not required - we’ll train you to succeed in this role no matter your level of experience.
- Are passionate about the environment, fighting climate change, and helping people save money.
- Can pass a drug test (marijuana excluded) and background screening (both required).
- Self-motivated
Shift:
- Full Time
- Typical shifts are Mon-Fri (flexible hours)
- Hours can be discussed upon interview
- Must be able to work occasional weekends
Salary: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 Target range
