The Position
Neelands is seeking a skilled retail Project Manager (Commercial Refrigeration) to join our team, supporting one of our National Accounts in the Southeast USA. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the refrigeration industry, particularly within a contracting environment. This role requires strong expertise in refrigeration systems and a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to successful handover.
Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Experience in Project Management in the Commercial Refrigeration industry (supermarkets) required
Ensure that all projects are delivered to a high standard of quality to time, within scope and within budget.
Manage project from start to finish, taking full responsibility for project delivery
Daily management of subcontractors and installation teams
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Ensuring timely delivery of services, materials, and equipment
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation such as preparing specifications
The ability to take full ownership and responsibility of their allocated projects ensuring that excellent quality and customer service skills are delivered from start to finish
Flexibility, enthusiasm, teamwork, good work ethic and excellent communication skills are essential
Must have excellent interpersonal, time management and organization skills
Ensuring client satisfaction throughout the life cycle of the project
Travel across Southeast USA
Qualifications:
A minimum of 8 years in the Refrigeration supermarket/grocery store Industry
including team leading experience.
Experience in the installation of supermarket display cases, walk-in cases and refrigeration equipment
A general understanding of refrigeration principals and fundamentals
Proficient in Microsoft office suite
Knowledge in construction codes applicable to mechanical building systems
Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time within the Southeast USA
A valid passport is an asset
