Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting appliances and furniture to various locations while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, as well as the ability to operate box trucks safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Tuesday-Saturday every week and 6 days a week during peak seasons
- 6am start time.
- Daily hours are based on performance. (The goal is to work efficiently so you can get back to your home life!)
- Drive assigned routes to deliver products safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and stakeholders.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in warehouse operations when not driving, including inventory management and organization.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with box trucks and furniture delivery is preferred.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients during deliveries.
- Ability to navigate routes efficiently using maps or GPS systems.
- Previous experience in load unloading processes is beneficial.
