JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial construction projects located in the Raleigh-Durham area.
- Review scope of work on awarded projects to ensure complete understanding of the project and materials.
- Work closely with material vendors on pricing and product specifications.
- Engage with customers to ensure understanding of scope and address scope questions.
- Visit clients to build strong personal and corporate relationships.
- Attend client and industry events outside normal business hours.
- Manage all job-related documents including paper, electronic, and estimating software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years’ estimating experience in commercial construction. Experience working on projects focused on acoustical / specialty ceilings highly desired.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and takeoff software. Previous experience with Sage 100 software highly desired.
- Strong communication and math skills.
- Project management and field experience preferred.
- Exceptional work ethic and desire to complete tasks on schedule with excellence.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
