What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician 1st Shift position at Neenah Foundry - Lincoln Operations?

- Update process job sheets.
- Conduct sand and metal sampling during the production process.
- Conduct materials testing and metallurgical analysis.
- Compile foundry data.
- Manage test samples & storage.
- Function in both the lab and production environments as necessary to complete the essential job functions.
- Maintain necessary test records.
- Retrieve information from records and produce reports as requested.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to help ensure the usability and accuracy of testing equipment and processes.
- Comply with department and company safety rules.
- Ensure that sampling and testing processes follow standard operating procedures to maintain the accuracy and repeatability of test results.
- Perform daily and weekly audits of castings.
- Communicate information to the organization regarding testing and auditing.
- Active participant in the Quality Department’s 5S process implementation.
- Other activities as assigned, e.g., cross train as a back-up for the Shipping Coordinator position.

Education
