The Neenah Joint School District (NJSD) is seeking applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Information Systems Manager position. This 12-month role operates Monday through Friday, with a start date of July 1, 2025. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team.
The Information Systems Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the NJSD technology infrastructure. This includes supervising the Department’s technical staff, managing and developing hardware, software, network systems, and security systems, as well as providing technical support to end-users, and leading the IT support team. The Information Systems Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and secure use of technology and data across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Oversee and mentor IT technicians and IT administrators, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing professional development opportunities. Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews. Ensure the IT team follows established procedures for hardware and software management.
- Data Integrity and Management: Implement and enforce policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability. Oversee data backups, recovery processes, and data archiving.
- End-User Support: Provide technical assistance and training to staff and end-users on hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot problems, diagnose causes, and implement effective solutions. This includes answering help desk requests, providing remote support, and on-site assistance.
- Help Desk Management: Manage the District’s help desk ticketing system. Analyze performance of help desk activities and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent future problems.
- Data Security: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security measures to protect the organization's data from unauthorized access, viruses, and other threats. This may include user access management, data backups, and security software. Ensure the IT team adheres to security protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, incident response, and troubleshooting steps. Develop and oversee the IT team's documentation practices.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate support, licensing, and renewals of relevant software from current and potential vendors.
- Training: Provide training to staff on the use of technology and software applications. Develop and deliver training programs for the IT team.
- Project Management: Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades and new software implementations. Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Research and Development: Research and evaluate new technologies that may benefit the organization by staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, especially those related to data management and security. Encourage the IT team to stay current with industry trends.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Ideal candidate will possess 10 years of experience in K-12 IT support or a related role, including experience supervising or leading IT staff and experience with data management best practices.

- Physical Demands:
- Sitting/Standing: 80% of the time.
- Travel: Limited travel to school sites is required. A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Office Presence: 100% physical presence in the office is required. This position is housed at the NJSD Administration Building at 410 South Commercial Street.
- Lifting: lifting of up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
