We are now looking for an entry level CAD Designer to join our team at Plastiform in Irving, TX. Salary: $35 - $50k commensurate with experience. JOB SUMMARY As a Designer you will: Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs Attend regular development meetings Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process Make revisions to models as requested Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies Pursue ongoing education in the field Utilize large databases of material property information to best select materials for modeling Assist with packaging evaluations and designs of other engineers or designers and other departments. Assist with the gathering of sufficient information to enable drawings Create CAD drawings Assist Sr. Engineers/Designers perform special engineering project assignments YOUR PROFILE Minimum 2 year degree in related field (Engineering, Drafting, CAD design, etc.) Preferred 1+ years formal education/experience utilizing Solidworks CAD software 2 years Solidworks/CAD experience highly preferred Exposure to working in a professional environment Strong organizational skills Excellent attention to detail An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner Ability to understand drawings and specifications MS Office applications user level experience Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time Company Values and Ways of Working Our core values are Simplicity, Empowerment and Respect.
