Your Responsibilities
As a Material Coordinator for John Deere Harvester Works, located in East Moline, IL you will be responsible for direct material inventory accuracy and availability at point of use to meet production goals. In addition, you will:
- Work critical shortage reports and audit material to ensure part availability, while utilizing SAP and additional tools to support aspects of the material delivery process
- Communicate and work closely with several functional areas including operations, engineering, supply management, and material flow to root cause and correct material shortages, inventory discrepancies, reporting and consumption issues
- Coordinate and support engineering changes on the shop floor
- Actively support the Continuous Improvement (CI) process and shop floor initiatives
What Skills You Need
- 1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work within a team in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work overtime, both daily and weekend
- Experience with SAP, or a similar inventory tracking system, is preferred
- Knowledge of Manufacturing, Warehousing, Order Fulfillment, Supply Management, and/or Material Flow processes
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Two-year college degree, preferably in Business or Supply Management or equivalent related work experience
