What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nonprofit Program Manager position at Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada (N4)?
The Neighbor Network of Northern Nevada (N4) is looking for a full-time, in-person professional Program Manager to coordinate and oversee our growing nonprofit organization’s programs. The Program Manager role is mainly to implement effective processes and practices across the organization while providing support and coaching to a team of program coordinators. The specific duties of the Program Manager include supervision of program coordinators, processing staff hours, program evaluation, data analysis and grant reporting, assistance with special projects, process mapping/improvement, monitoring job ads, and assisting with recruitment. The Program Manager is the heart of the program team and direct reports to the executive director.
Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) with overseeing nonprofit and/or public sector programs is required. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to ensure program outcomes are met, and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help N4 remain compliant with state and federal requirements, efficient within our service programs, and focused on our social mission to connect Northern Nevadans for inclusive, community-based services, volunteer opportunities, and affordable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all program activities are carried on in an appropriate, efficient, and cost-effective way
- Improve program systems, processes, and best practices
- Ensure N4 members are satisfied with services
- Help the organization’s processes remain compliant with state and federal regulations
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine program data to improve sustainability
- Design and implement program evaluation activities
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers
- Coordinate outreach activities and find ways to increase strategic community partnerships
- Up to 10% travel
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Program Manager or similar role in a nonprofit organization or public agency
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and program management
- Experience with program evaluation and strategic planning
- Familiarity with nonprofit ethics and financial audit principles
- Excellent communication skills

- Detail oriented
- Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or related field preferred

Pay: $72,800.00 - $83,200.00 per year
