Do you love serving up quality, scratch-made food and craft cocktails? Would you like to do it while listening to Live Tunes? Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard is hiring Servers. We are a pizza kitchen, music venue, and event space nestled on the banks of the Colorado River in Bastrop, Texas. The historic building and the eclectic style will make you feel right at home.
The Server provides a full-service experience that includes menu and beer/cocktail knowledge that follows Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard recipes and policies.
OPEN INTERVIEWS - every Monday & Wednesday 2p - 5p.
**High Volume, Face Paced Environment. Excellent servers making $25 - $30 /hour on average in non-cash tips, plus cash tips.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Present food and drink menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding all menu items.
- Complete knowledge of food and bar menus.
- Interact with guests while maintaining a professional and fun demeanor.
- Responsible for serving food, drinks and processing cash and credit card transactions.
- Abide by the TABC/ABLE/TIPS policies concerning alcohol consumption and safety procedures to prevent over intoxication and underage selling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1-year serving experience preferred
- Understanding of Beverage and Food Handling policies and procedures
- Basic liquor, beer, and bar terminology knowledge
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience with a POS system preferred but not necessary. TOAST a plus.
- Able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time and to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
