Do you love serving up quality, scratch-made food and craft cocktails? Would you like to do it while listening to Live Tunes? Neighbor’s Kitchen & Yard is hiring Hosts. We are a pizza kitchen, music venue, and event space nestled on the banks of the Colorado River in Bastrop, Texas. The historic building and the eclectic style will make you feel right at home.
The Host responsibilities include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, escorting customers to the dining and bar areas, and supporting servers by running food and bussing tables.
TIPS ADD $3 -$5 per hour
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Welcome guests to the venue
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
- Provide assign guests to servers
- Greet customers upon their departure
- Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
- Maintain a clean reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly)
- Answer incoming calls, address customers’ queries, help with phone orders
- Assists wait staff as needed by running food and bussing tables
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess nice, but we will train
- Understanding of restaurant etiquette
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Demonstrable customer-service skills
- Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
- Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
- Able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively
- Legal right to work in the US
