The first company value at Neighbor is “Hire and Develop the Best.” No person will have a more tangible impact in upholding that value than you. The Senior Recruiter will have sole ownership of the recruiting function. You will be the gatekeeper of (1) Neighbor’s high bar for talent and (2) the culture at Neighbor. Our ideal candidate has experience recruiting for growth stage startups and has been an original member of a recruiting team previously. This will be a highly visible role reporting directly to the CEO and representing the company to the thousands of candidates who regularly apply to work at Neighbor.
- Learn Neighbor’s business inside and out so you can be a strategic advisor
- Run the full recruitment life cycle from kickoff to close
- Partner and recruit for every department in the company, including Software Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, and more
- Design and execute the recruiting outreach strategy
- Build a candidate experience that enables us to attract and assess exceptional talent while removing bias
- Coach business operators to become world-class recruiters
- Understand the “bigger picture” and how each hire ties into Neighbor’s larger scale business goals and objectives
- Be the face of Neighbor to our awesome candidates! Maintain professional and courteous communication with candidates to develop long-term relationships
- Analyze recruiting data by evaluating the performance of sourcing channels and identifying trends in the job market
- 4 years of recruiting experience, ideally at a high growth tech company
- Technical recruiting experience is strongly preferred
- Experience managing an applicant tracking system (we use Lever)
- First principles thinking approach: you are talented at removing roadblocks and creative problem solving
- Strong communication skills, you have high content-to-word ratio and prioritize coaching and delivering feedback
- Confident, coachable, and enthusiastic team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment
- Understanding of how to use data to validate the success of hiring efforts
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
