Title: Events, Marketing, & Media Relations Manager
Location: Bronx, NY
Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00
The Events, Marketing, & Media Relations Manager is responsible for developing and executing the organization’s event strategy, marketing campaigns, digital and social media content, public/media relations, and creative design work. This individual will elevate the organization’s voice, grow its reach across platforms, and build community engagement through impactful storytelling and visual identity.
Key Responsibilities:
Events Management
- Plan and execute signature events including fundraising galas, themed panel discussions, community forums, outreach campaigns, and pop-ups.
- Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, run-of-show scripts, and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate logistics including site setup, registration, speakers, and promotional materials.
- Promote events across social media and digital channels, creating buzz and tracking engagement.
- Gather media, metrics, and photos for post-event content and donor communications.
- Define performance metrics and assess the overall impact of events; prepare comprehensive post-event reports for stakeholders and executives, providing actionable recommendations for future improvements.
Marketing & Communications
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns aligned with the organization's brand and mission.
- Create compelling content for newsletters, blogs, email blasts, and promotional materials.
- Oversee marketing calendars and ensure consistent voice and messaging across all platforms.
- Develop digital strategies to drive audience growth and campaign visibility.
- Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with the Community Affairs department.
- Work closely with other NAICA staff in pursuit of funding and/or programmatic opportunities.
Social Media Strategy & Content
- Manage day-to-day content creation and scheduling across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Design and execute social media campaigns for programs, fundraising, events, and awareness days.
- Track and analyze performance metrics; adjust strategy to maximize engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with staff and community members to highlight stories, testimonials, and impact visuals.
Media & Public Relations
- Serve as a media liaison and respond to press inquiries.
- Draft and distribute press releases, op-eds, media alerts, and organizational statements.
- Cultivate media relationships and grow press coverage opportunities.
- Coordinate interviews and speaking engagements for leadership or staff.
Graphic Design & Visual Presentation
- Design branded materials including flyers, social media graphics, digital ads, presentations, signage, and reports.
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual outputs and templates.
- Produce and maintain visually engaging donor materials and event collateral.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to produce high-quality creative content.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English for administrative purposes.
- Must pass drug screening to be appointed.
- This position may be subject to a series of investigations before and after appointment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Events, Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, or related areas.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong visual storytelling and graphic design experience (Adobe Suite or Canva).
- Proven ability to build relationships and manage public, media, sponsors, public officials, and stakeholders.
- Organized, detail-oriented, ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated expertise in effective communication and stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and fostering strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English for administrative purposes.
- Must pass drug screening to be appointed.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to travel to multiple NYC sites as needed.
Work Environment / Schedule Requirements:
- Will be required to work one to two days in office and virtually the rest of the traditional Monday-Friday workweek. Events will require occasional evening and weekend presence.
