Neighborhood Dental is looking for a versatile Office Manager/ Dental Assistant to join our team and help us maintain our high standard of service.
We are a small office with a laid back and professional environment that ensures our team and patients feel comfortable and valued. Our team focuses on the satisfaction, education, and exceptional service we provide to our patients. We are looking for an optimistic, hardworking individual to fit the atmosphere of our office.
This position requires 28-36 hours weekly (average is 30/week). Office hours are 9-5 Monday through Friday, with 1.5 hours for lunch. We often do not see patients on Wednesday so that day’s hours are very flexible. Having some dental experience as a dental assistant, or front office manager would be very helpful, but not required. This position demands good communication and computer skills. Below is a more thorough list of the day to day expectations. Beginning pay would start between $18 and $24 an hour depending on experience.
Greets and Check in patients with a warm friendly attitude.
Call patients to confirm appointments daily
Schedule new and existing patients
Research patient insurance eligibility and benefits
Provide appropriate new patient forms for completion
Contact other providers to access patient information as needed
Coordinate care with other providers
Scan needed documents and images into patient charts
Follow HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines
Coordinate patient dental care with other providers
Prepares treatment rooms and helps with sterilizing
takes X Rays, and Blood pressures
Able to educate patients of post treatment care
Assist in coordinating Dr Byington's Nursing Home visits monthly
Manage office emails
Review daily claims and submit to insurance or bill patient
Monitor patients Medicaid eligibility and benefit balance
Receive and process payments in multiple forms; cash, insurance EFT, check, and
credit card payments
Manage patient accounts and mail statements monthly
Manage small auto billing system
Manage office and staff schedule
