Neighborhood Educational Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced Spanish-speaking Math Instructor to join our team. This role involves leading both in-school and after-school cohorts of high school students who are working to pass the Algebra I Regents exam by June .

Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and many have struggled with success on this critical exam. We are looking for an instructor who is not only knowledgeable in Algebra but also skilled at building rapport and adapting to various learning styles.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead small-group instruction for high school students preparing for the Algebra I Regents exam.
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to students with varying levels of math proficiency.
  • Provide individualized support to students, adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success.
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and program staff to monitor progress and address challenges.

Qualifications :

  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Math Education, or STEM Education is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of tutoring or teaching experience , with a focus on high school math (Algebra preferred).
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, particularly students who may have struggled with math in the past.
  • Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Passion for helping students succeed and a commitment to educational equity.
  • Schedule & Compensation :

  • Flexible, part-time schedule with in-school and after-school teaching hours.
