As a Dental Assistant- Expanded Duties, you will:
- Prepares patients for dentist’s complete examination.
- Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Performs a variety of expanded duty functions:
- Places and removes rubber dams, matrices, and wedges.
- Applies cavity liners and bases.
- Places, condenses, carves, and contours amalgam restorations.
- Places and finishes composite resin restorations, including sealant material.
- Provides patient education.
- Assists with sterilizing instruments as assigned following infection control guidelines.
- Assists with maintenance of dental equipment (i.e., lab trays, pouring models, etc.)
Requirements:
- Expanded duties certification.
- X-Ray certification
Education Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant Program or training equivalent to an accredited Dental Assistance Program.
