Neighborhood Health is a mission-driven, fully integrated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) rooted in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. With a team of 230 dedicated professionals, we deliver a wide range of services—including medical, dental, optometry, behavioral health, chiropractic, WIC, and pharmacy—across multiple locations in Northeast Indiana.
We are seeking a visionary Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead our clinical transformation and champion innovation in community-based healthcare. Reporting to the CEO and collaborating closely with senior leadership, this bold and strategic leader will guide our clinical vision, elevate quality standards, and inspire a high-performing team of providers. The CMO will also deliver direct patient care approximately 16 hours per week—keeping their pulse on what matters most: our patients.

As Chief Medical Officer, you will:
• Set a bold vision for high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care across all service lines.
• Serve as the clinical strategist and voice of Neighborhood Health—advising the CEO and key stakeholders on clinical priorities.
• Lead value-based care initiatives that use data, technology, and innovation to drive better outcomes.
• Provide direct patient care, completing assessments, diagnostics, treatment, and documentation in line with gold-standard protocols.
• Inspire, mentor, and empower our provider team (MDs and APPs) to reach new heights of excellence and collaboration.
• Oversee credentialing and privileging to ensure a high-performing, credentialed clinical workforce.
• Drive seamless coordination across clinic sites, aligning schedules, systems, and processes for peak performance.
• Co-lead medical budgeting efforts and ensure clinical operations align with strategic goals and financial sustainability.

• A collaborative spirit with the confidence to lead from both the frontlines and the boardroom.
• Dedication to quality improvement, risk management, PCMH transformation, and national accreditation efforts.
• Commitment to protecting patient privacy, data security, and ethical medical practice.
Requirements:
• Active Indiana State Medical License (MD or DO), DEA license, and CPR certification
• Board certification or eligibility in a primary care specialty (Family Med, Internal Med, Pediatrics, etc.)
• Significant clinical experience in primary care or community health
• Proven leadership experience managing clinical teams and systems
Preferred Education & Expertise:
• Medical degree from an accredited institution (MD or DO)
• Master’s in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration (preferred)
• Expertise in population health, value-based care, and data-driven strategy
