What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assistant position at Neighborhood Health?
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Quality Assistant works with Neighborhood Health’s Quality Manager, Chief Medical Officer, and Director of Nursing, to support and strengthen Neighborhood Health’s quality and safety activities. The Quality Assistant assists with the collection and analysis of quality data, and the use of population health software, to ensure that the health center achieves its quality goals. This individual assists with coordinating new staff orientation and onboarding, review data from patient experience surveys, quality reports, and patient feedback tools, and interprets and shares data with clinical teams.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities noted with bullets are the essential functions of the job).
- Collects clinical quality data according to the quality calendar and reporting at monthly Quality Committee meetings.
- Assists with analyzing data and ensuring systems are in place for continuous monitoring of the data.
- Assists with quality improvement projects, particularly in management of chronic disease, by working with patients, clinical staff, managers, and the quality team
- Assists with infection control and hand hygiene campaigns
- Assists with in house CPR training program
- Employee will be asked to perform additional duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Ability to use electronic medical record.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
- Ability to evaluate and present clinical data
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once
- Positive, service-oriented attitude with the skill to foster and maintain relationships
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
