ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE
The District Medical Leader will provide operational support within Neighborhood Healthcare’s system by optimizing efficiency and workflows at the clinic level. Reporting directly to the District Medical Leader, this position will oversee multiple (2-5) assigned clinics providing mentorship to clinicians within the designated Zone. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care as a Physician as well as improving clinical outcomes through program management and mentorship to staff Physicians. The District Medical Leader will allocate 60% of time spent performing direct patient care and 40% of time allocated on Clinic Administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Supervision
- Supervise clinicians at assigned clinics
- Provide guidance, mentorship and support to clinicians on a daily basis
Operational Support
- Collaborate with operations team to ensure adequate clinician coverage at each clinic site to meet patient demand and ensure access to care
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize clinic workflows and enhance operational efficiency
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor clinic productivity and quality metrics including patient experience scores, wait times, and clinical outcomes
- Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address performance issues and drive continuous improvement
Patient Experience Leadership
- Lead by Example in promoting a positive and compassionate patient experience at assigned clinical sites
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to implement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and improve communication
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution required
- Valid CA Medical License in good standing required
- Valid DEA and AHA certifications required
- Valid BLS certification from approved American Health Association provider required upon hire
- Three years’ primary care or clinical practice experience required; five years’ experience preferred
- Previous experience in a clinical advisory role preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Knowledgeable about and experience with general medicine

- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner

Pay range:
- Medical Leader- $303,500-$388,300 per year depending on experience. (DOE)
- Senior Medical Leader- $305,900k-404,700 per year depending on experience. (DOE)
