NOTE: It is required that candidates reside in Southern California. This position is 32 to 40 hours. 32 hours does receive benefits.
ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE
The Medical Scribe will increase the medical chart efficiency, productivity, and accuracy for providers. This role will annotate all dictated or written information for treatments of patients. In addition, this role will accompany providers either in person or virtually when treating patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists providers with documentation of each patient’s medical chart during their visit
- Transcribes a history and physical examination as given by the patient and provider
- Documents all procedures performed by the provider or nurses in patient medical charts
- Uses various EHR tools to congregate data collected for statistical reports for efficiency and accuracy
- Transcribes consultations and discussions with family members and/or providers
- Transcribes results for labs, x-rays, and other evaluations in patient medical charts
- Follows-up on the progress of pending results to finalize the patient workups for the provider
- Documents proper diagnoses, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions as dictated by the clinician
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma/GED required
- One year of outpatient clinic experience preferred
- Medical Terminology, anatomy, and physiology coursework preferred

Pay range: $21.00 to $26.50 depending on experience (DOA)
Salary : $21 - $27
