Job Summary:
The Dietitian evaluates nutrition risk criteria, assesses nutritional status and develops/implements plan of nutrition care based on evidence-based practice and diagnosis related care guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Completes nutritional assessment using established evidence-based, diagnosis-related nutrition care guidelines.
- Reviews integrated nutrition screening reports and accurately identifies patients at nutritional risk in both pediatric and adult populations.
- Evaluates patient outcome and progress toward achieving nutrition goals. Revises intervention and/or education plan.
- Serves as nutrition specialist and resource to physicians, NOAH departments, allied health professionals, and accredited nutrition programs.
- Prepares written outcome-oriented documentation for the patient’s medical record on all consultation in accordance with evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Researches, develops, and implements patient nutrition care protocols and educational materials, based on evidence-based practice in cooperation with the clinical staff.
- Participates in performance integration and improvement of patient care processes and department or system process improvement initiatives.
- Adheres to policies and procedures for all nutrition education services and programs.
- Attends, participates, and/or assists in meetings, trainings, community outreach activities, continuing education opportunities, and other activities as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a closely related field.
- Current Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- 1 years of relevant work experience
Preferred:
- Master’s degree.
- 3 years of relevant work experience
Other Requirements:
- New Hires are required to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing (effective 11/1/2022).
- Current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or must pass
