Job Summary:
The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including onboarding, performance management, HRIS management, compliance, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides support and guidance to HR team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS.
- Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Attends, participates, and/or assists in meetings, training, community outreach activities, continuing education opportunities, and other activities as required.
- Ensures accurate and complete records.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS (Paycom).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field or equivalent experience required.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or CHCR Certified strongly preferred.
- 5 years in Human Resources management.
- 2 years in people management.
- Experience in healthcare preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
- Able to hear adequately to decipher spoken word, sounds, alarms, etc.
- Able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately and clearly.
- Able to use hands and fingers for fine manipulation to touch, pick, pinch, and grasp and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
