Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of property management practices, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires effective communication, conflict management, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including tenant screening, lease negotiations, and renewals.
- Maintain positive relationships with tenants through effective communication and prompt resolution of issues.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance requirements.
- Oversee maintenance staff and coordinate repairs or improvements as needed.
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants, including upselling available units.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry and management systems such as Yardi.
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone and in-person with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations pertaining to property management.
- Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and tenant satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of property leasing processes and conflict management techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with tenants and stakeholders.
- Proficient in data entry and office software applications; familiarity with Yardi is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant laws governing property management practices is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge: Experience with project-based Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs and experience with RD.
