Summary:

The Lead Mobile Crisis Specialist is responsible for the oversight of all COPE staff including Crisis Assessors, Admin Support Specialists and Peers assigned within the NSO COPE Program. Additionally, they will ensure that all compliance standards of funders and governing agents are consistently met and maintained in accordance with quality standards and contractual obligations. The job is performed during NSO business hours and requires flexibility. Driving is a requirement of the position.

Schedule:

M-F: 10AM - 2PM doing PARs
M-F: 6PM - 6 AM On Call and Approving PARs for the Night Shift
Every Other Weekend: On Call and Approving PARs for the Night Shift


Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual and clinical supervision, evaluates staff performance, and makes recommendations for personnel actions to the COPE Manager, when needed.
  • Directs day-to-day operations of the COPE Team, and is responsible for scheduling of team meetings, services, and staff time schedule
  • Ensures documentation quality and compliance with the behavior health code and all funding sources
  • Responsible for overall compliance metrics of the COPE Team and for motivating individual staff performance to meet program goals and objectives.
  • Responsible along with the COPE Night Team Lead for being on call for clinical support 2am-8:30am M-F and 2am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Responsible for recommending changes to the COPE Manager that would improve service delivery, program metrics and funder relationships
  • Responsible for ensuring the coordination between COPE Team members
  • Works collaboratively with professional peers (hospitals, DWIHN and Hegira) to coordinate the delivery of services
  • Responsible for reviewing and signing off on all PARs with inpatient dispositions during the day shift and see that staff are completing the PAR log
  • Responsible for checking missing SALs in Power BI and reporting to the NSO finance team
  • Responsible for the recruitment and training of new COPE staff and assessing for staffing needs
  • Responsible for supervising staff ongoing training, ensuring appropriate accreditation for each team member
  • Responsible for working collaboratively with Performance Improvement team on formal internal or external audits
  • Responsible for covering for the Night Shift Team Lead-COPE when needed
  • Responsible for approving all COPE staff timesheets and CTO
  • Responsible for attending all COPE huddle meetings
  • Additional Duties as assigned by Manager

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in behavioral health
  • 5 years’ experience with clinical assessment and/or crisis intervention work in a behavioral health setting
  • 3 years of supervisory experience (required)
  • Familiarity with CMH (preferred)
  • State of Michigan Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) (Required)
  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited College or University
