Job Overview
We are looking for a Non-Medical Transportation (NMT) Driver, DSP Certified to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. NMT Driver, DSP Certified responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning, daily vehicle checklists, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license for at least two years in the U.S.A. and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated NMT Driver, DSP Certified to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers or goods to designated locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive attitude while on the road. Experience in various driving capacities, including van driving, bus driving, and shuttle driving, is highly desirable.
Must have a valid Driver's License and be a certified DSP staff member and complete Med. Admin. Training. Agency will compensate for on the job training.
Responsibilities
- Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
- Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
- Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road construction, as needed
- Ensure that the seats in the car are clean and comfortable for all riders
- Report any issues about the vehicle and how it is functioning
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles, including vans and buses, to transport passengers or goods as scheduled.
- Maintain the vehicle in good working condition by performing routine checks and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as loading and unloading luggage or equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of the vehicle before and after each trip.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in van driving, bus driving, shuttle driving, or paratransit services is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Excellent time management skills to adhere to schedules.
- A commitment to safety and compliance with all transportation regulations.
