Primary Responsibilities
Our office policy allows for flexibility to work remotely and strongly encourages employees to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week (or fully-remote if in the Raleigh area). In the role of Project Architect, we’ll count on you to:
· Work collaboratively with the design team and clients on a wide range of projects including multifamily residential, public transportation, commercial office, healthcare, and civic buildings
· Production and/or providing quality control oversight of construction documents, including specifications
· Present to clients the latest design trends to gain feedback to inform design decisions
· Mentorship of younger staff and training the next generation of project architect
· Construction Administration site visits, submittals, and RFIs
· Support our projects that include Urban Design and Public Engagement
· Pay thorough attention to detail
· Work within budget constraints
· Be a creative problem-solver
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years experience working in an architecture firm
- NCARB certification, LEED AP, CDT, and/or WELL AP preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, and working experience with SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Organizational and time-management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Experience with code research is preferred
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and make independent decisions, (i.e. does not need to be micro-managed to complete tasks)
- Quick self-starter
- Not afraid to ask questions and a good team attitude
- Creativity and problem solving, patience and resiliency
- Strong communication skills
