Community Support Worker (CSW)

Neighbors’ Consejo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health services to underserved people in the community. We are looking for a Full-Time Community Support Worker to provide behavioral health outpatient services to consumers enrolled in our program. The CSW is responsible for rendering supportive services to consumers assigned to their caseload.

Experience:

• No experience required / Training provided.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Have strong English writing skills.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer.
• Satisfactory FBI fingerprint background check (By regulation, FBI fingerprint background check is required).
• Ability to use technology to document services in electronic medical record system.
• Have the desire to help the community, especially people in vulnerable positions.
• People skills, patience, and perseverance.
• Ability to take on full-time caseload.

Duties:

• Maintain confidentiality of all consumers protected health information records, in accordance with federal law and Neighbors' Consejo policies.
• Participate in the preparation, development, and implementation of the plan of care for each consumer assigned every 180 days, per Department of Behavioral Health (DBH).
• Provide all assigned services supporting each treatment plan and document these in a timely manner in the electronic medical records system.
• Undergo and complete all training requirements mandated by the DC Department of Behavioral Health and Neighbors’ Consejo.
• Comply with all policies, laws and regulations.

Job Type:

• Contract indefinite term.
• Earnings potential $75,000 annually.
• Flexible schedule.
• Choose your own hours.
