Position Summary:
This role involves project oversight and implementation of communication strategies, tools and channels that empower field staff, enhance organizational performance and contribute to overall organizational success. This includes building and maintaining relationships while collaborating closely with Field Operations staff, regional PACAs, Communications & Marketing, Public Policy and Legislative Affairs and offices of the COO and CEO, with a specific emphasis on highlighting events, achievements and partnerships of strategic importance to the organization and its network.
- Develop & Implement Communication Strategies: Partner with business units, PACAs, and regional staff to enhance organizational visibility and engagement.
- Foster Collaboration & Information Sharing: Establish communication protocols, shared materials, and regular feedback processes to ensure effective outreach.
- Create & Manage Communication Materials: Develop newsletters, toolkits, training materials, and presentations to align messaging and increase engagement.
- Support Events & Initiatives: Manage marketing efforts for key initiatives like NeighborWorks Week, including staff and network communications.
- Facilitate Special Projects & Cross-Divisional Collaboration: Assist with meetings, events, and strategic projects to enhance productivity and alignment.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 6–8 years of relevant experience.
- Communication & Writing: Strong writing, editing, and communication skills; proficiency in AP style and brand/editorial style guides.
- Project & Marketing Management: Experience managing projects, collaborating in fast-paced environments, and using tools like Monday.com, Airtable, or Asana.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM email software, CMS web editing, and social media.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to build relationships, manage teams, and facilitate stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Flexibility & Organization: Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time management skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
Working Conditions:
- Travel up to 25%.
- Fast paced working environment, with extensive computer use and technological communication.
- Hybrid: this role reports to the DC office two days per week.
Salary Range: $89,800K - $109,000K
The salary offered for the role will be based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, internal equity, and the candidate’s qualifications/professional experience.

Purpose of Division:
The Communications and Marketing division elevates NeighborWorks America's mission through strategic storytelling, digital engagement, and creative outreach. The division oversees the creation and dissemination of print and digital content, manages the organization’s website and social media platforms, and coordinates cross-platform communications strategies.
The division also drives content strategy, ensures alignment with corporate goals, and provides graphic and editorial support across the organization. It supports NeighborWorks America's Web strategy, focusing on audience engagement, accessibility, and data-driven content delivery.
Salary : $89,800 - $109,000
