Job Description: Production Assistant
Neill and Son Roofing is currently hiring a Production Assistant to ensure the highest quality roofing services for our customers. As a Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our production processes. Working closely with the production team, you’ll assist in scheduling, resource allocation, materials management, and ensuring projects are on track and meet quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist with daily coordination of production schedules and project timelines.
- Resource Allocation: Help manage materials, tools, and resources needed for each project.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels and place orders as necessary to ensure production continuity.
- Quality Control: Assist in performing quality checks and inspections on materials and completed work to ensure standards are met.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of project progress, materials usage, and other key metrics.
- Team Communication: Facilitate communication between production team members, sales, and management to keep everyone informed and aligned.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist with on-site safety checks.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to provide project updates and answer questions as needed.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and help resolve minor issues that arise during production to keep projects on track.
- Exhibit professional conduct and communication with contractors, customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Coordinate with the production team from planning through project completion to maximize efficiencies and quality.
- Ensure compliance with production steps, product guidelines, and OSHA standards.
- Acquire knowledge of the roofing industry, complete training, and achieve certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct as a company representative.
- Provide and receive input from team members in routine communications and meetings.
- Schedule maintenance for company vehicles and equipment.
- Accurately execute change orders, inspections, reports, and collect payments.
- Report to branch and production leaders.
Qualities, Characteristics, and Aptitude:
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.) Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Familiarity with project management tools is a plus. (Salesforce, Hubspot, Zoho, Monday, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Pass a drug screening test.
- High energy and customer-focused.
- Team-oriented and adaptable to change.
- Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Proficient in mobile app usage and basic computer skills.
- Organized and a problem solver.
- High standards, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
