What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Nekoosa Coated Products?
Purpose: To perform miscellaneous duties associated with production and shipping. Unload delivery trucks and perform miscellaneous duties as required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Able to unload delivery trucks (packaging, pallets & misc). Collect billing paperwork, packing slips, insure all loads match packing slip, mark any damage and place paperwork in hanging basket.
- Able to perform daily housekeeping (Sweep and empty garbage cans towards end of shift).
- Able to create work orders and/or notify supervisor if repairs are needed on equipment or on NCP property.
- Able to perform miscellaneous duties as assigned or required by supervision
- Able to operate tow motor, clamp trucks and complete daily inspections.
- Able to follow and abide by all safety rules and practices.
- Know, understand and use Lockout/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
- Know and understand how to complete E-Stop and Interlock monthly checks.
- Know, follow and abide by all documented procedures.
- Willing and able to work shift work.
- Willing and able to learn and perform multiple responsibilities as they pertain to shipping and converting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to perform all job duties.
Must be able to operate mobile equipment as required.
Must be able to work safely.
Work Environment: Work is performed in a manufacturing facility. Safety glasses, High Vis shirt, hearing protection and safety shoes are required at all times in the plant facility.
