Job Summary: Provides general building maintenance services for all Stark Foundation properties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides skilled and unskilled carpentry work for all Stark Foundation properties
- Installs and repairs small equipment
- Provides general building maintenance services for all Stark Foundation properties, including painting, basic plumbing, and space planning, arrangement and organization
- Provides electrician services to all Stark Foundation properties, as qualified and licensed to do so
- Cleans maintenance buildings, maintenance yards and work sites
- Provides other services as may be directed by supervisor
- Be prepared to do about anything. We care for our buildings and serve our staff.

- Exercise care, perform required maintenance, and follow all operating instructions, safety standards, and guidelines when operating equipment or vehicles
- Properly store all supplies, materials and equipment
- Observe scheduled work hours

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: 8 years related experience
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals. Must be a team player able to work comfortably and effectively in cross-functional teams.
Other Skills:
- Current Driver?s License and good driving record
- Carpentry skills including but not limited to drawing and reading plans, constructing items from drawings, installing all types of hardware, repair furniture, construct buildings, building cabinets
- Plumbing skills including but not limited to installation of water lines, sewer lines, fixtures and hardware, repair of hardware, piping, and fixtures
- Electrical skills to assist in installation of wire, boxes, switches, receptacles and conduit
- Painting skills including but not limited to scraping, sanding, putty, caulk, and painting wood and metal surfaces
- Familiarity with terms and tools used in the construction, repair and maintenance of buildings. Ability to read drawings
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to safely operate tractor
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Basic math skills
- Manage projects effectively
- Basic welding
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, equipment and/or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, reach for objects, and use a ladder. The ability to see, with or without corrective measures, and to adjust focus, see in color and see objects a reasonable distance, as well as speak and hear is essential to job safety. Employee may be required to move or lift objects ranging from 10-80 pounds.
Work Environment:
The employee will work outside frequently. Work areas are commonly humid, hot or cold. Noise levels are generally moderate. However, the use of certain equipment may require the use of hearing protection.
